Award-Winning Entrepreneur and Communications Instructor Selected as Facilitator for Menominee Leadership Academy Public Communication Session
Terra L. Fletcher, 2012 Entrepreneur of the Year and Adjunct Instructor at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, has been chosen to present at Menominee Leadership Academy’s Session 6 on Public Communication, a full-day workshop.
Tuesday, February 16, 2016 Terra L. Fletcher will help participants in Menominee’s Leadership Academy at Menominee Language and Culture Center to improve their communication skills. Attendees, most of which are Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin employees, will develop formal speeches and presentations, learn to maintain a professional image within social media, speak with confidence, and use appropriate eye contact and gestures when giving a speech.
Terra says, “Communication is my favorite subject to teach. The quality of our lives is a direct result of the quality of our communication. I’m looking forward to working with the Menominee Leadership Academy because I know what it takes for someone who is naturally reserved and quiet to get up and speak in a public setting. I honor the power of introverts, while equipping passive communicators to ask for the change they want to see in the world. By the time they leave my workshop each attendee will give a three-minute speech.”
